Position: Immunisation Nurse (Casual - Shift Filling)

Location: Major Cities Throughout Australia.

Employment Type: Casual (Shift Filling Role)

Salary: Up to $73 per hour - based on total clinical hours worked

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Immunisation Nurses to join our team on a casual, shift-filling basis. This role involves providing safe and effective vaccination services to individuals across various age groups while promoting public health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer vaccines in accordance with national immunisation guidelines and protocols.
• Provide education to patients and families on vaccine benefits and potential side effects.
• Conduct pre-vaccination assessments, including medical history review and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of immunisations and adhere to relevant policies and regulations.
• Monitor and manage potential adverse reactions following vaccination.
• Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of vaccines and medical supplies.
• Participate in outreach programs and community immunisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support immunisation efforts.
• Be available for shift-filling opportunities as needed.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
• Accredited immunisation training certificate
• Strong knowledge of immunisation schedules and relevant legislation.
• Experience in vaccine administration and patient education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Up to date Serology & Core Competencies
• Current Practical BLS and anaphylaxis management certification.
• Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
